December 2024 Theme: Sticking the Landing
In person Meditation at 10:00am, in person and Facebook Live Services begin at 10:30.
At the end of a gymnastics performance, after all the spins and twirls, the gymnast must land upright on their feet. At the end of this year, having explored A Grand Rising, we land on our feet, grounded in timeless principles. We’ll use both elements (air, fire, water, earth, and light) and the flow of consciousness (thought, feeling, form, wisdom, Spirit) to wrap up this year and prepare for the next.
December 2024 Weekly Themes
December 1st • Standing on Solid Air
Life isn’t as solid as we’re conditioned to believe it is. Life is a constant flow – but we get to surf on and even direct that flow in our lives.Speaker: Rev. Dr. Kathleen Johnson. Music: Sharon and the Spirit Band
December 8th • Hearts Ablaze
We are feeling creatures who think. As we allow the fire of Love, the fire of Spirit to move us, we rise to new levels of joy, love, and alignment with Spirit. Speaker: Rev. Dr. Kathleen. Music: Sharon Bousquet, Sugar Maples and CSL Spirit Band. Education Sunday, Holiday Potluck and Divine Delights
December 15th • Flowing Ground
“Permanence is but a word of degrees. Our globe seen by God is a transparent law, not a mass of facts. The law dissolves the fact and holds it fluid.” (Emerson) Today we ask what “solid facts” we want to make more fluid, aligned with a higher Good. Speaker: Eugene Holden RScP . Music: Deb Chamberlin
December 22nd • The Incredible Light of Being
This is the darkest time of year in the northern hemisphere. So, of course, we celebrate light! We walk “guided by the illumination of remembered radiance.” (Howard Thurman) Speaker: Rev. Dr. Kathleen Johnson. Music: Deb Chamberlin
December 29th • Expanding At The Top
There is a difference between hearing that we are “open at the top” and expanding into that opening. As we complete this year of Grand Rising, what is arising through us? Speaker: Rev. Dr. Kathleen Johnson. Music: Ginger Coyle
